The Democratic Central Committee of McHenry County is the official organization of Democrats in this county. Our membership is composed of elected and appointed Democratic precinct representatives (committeemen) in McHenry County, and includes an Executive Board responsible for leading party activities.

The primary mission of this party is to elect Democrats to municipal, township, county and state legislative offices. While we often coordinate with statewide and federal campaigns, we are an independent political organization with no organizational or financial ties to the Illinois Democratic Party or the Democratic National Committee. We receive no financial support from the state and federal parties. However, we do have access to the DNC voter database called VoteBuilder, and members and candidates may gain access to this powerful tool at the discretion of the local party chair.
