How to win elections

Dewey_Defeats_Truman.jpgIf you think campaigning is "for other people", you are wrong. Elections are usually won by the candidate who wants it the most, and is willing to do whatever it takes. No one gave Harry Truman much chance of winning in 1948, but he refused to give up. He pushed ahead when everyone said he was certain to lose.

Everyone admires the incredible campaign organization Barack Obama built in 2008. He knew that smart organizing, brilliant messaging and incredible execution was necessary for him to gain his party's nomination and win the Presidency. We now have many of the same tools available to us at the local level. Our candidates are successful when they use these tools and work the plan.

Join us for this foundation class in campaign strategy and tactics. All candidates, precinct committeemen, and party supporters are urged to attend this class to get the basic knowledge you will need to be an effective agent for change in McHenry County.
