Democracy is not a spectator sport

You can make a difference!

There's more to politics than just voting for president every four years. Our democratic system of government depends on citizen participation at every level, but especially at the local level. While the glamor of national politics often overshadows the seemingly mundane world of local government, it's right here in your own neighborhood that you can make the biggest difference.

The This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is a small group of dedicated volunteers focused on our primary mission of electing Democratic candidates to local offices, from the municipal level up to the state legislature.  We support this mission by recruiting and training candidates, by raising money to promote our candidates and our message, and by supporting a progressive social, environmental, and economic agenda here in McHenry County. Recent elections have proven that our message is resonating strongly even here in this traditionally Republican county. But there is much more to do, and it will take the efforts of all of us, working together, to make our community reach its potential.

We invite you to become involved with the local Democratic Party by registering for membership here, and by attending our monthly meetings. Your voice will be heard and your opinions valued.
