wine & cheese

Get your petitions notarized this Sunday!

If you have petitions that need to be notarized, you can bring them to my home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We'll have several notaries in attendance to review your petitions, witness your signature and apply their notary stamp.

What's this all about?

Everyone who circulates petitions must sign the bottom of the petition in the presence of a notary and get the notary's signature and official stamp in order to have their petitions accepted by the election authorities.

Committeemen, this means you!

If you are running for election as Precinct Committeeman you only need 10 signatures (we recommend getting 15-20 to be safe). That usually takes about an hour of your time. It is the ONLY way to get on the primary ballot to be elected as the representative of your neighborhood for the Democratic Party.

If you are circulating petitions for candidates for public office — county board, state legislature, Congress, etc, we need to get those petitions turned in to their respective campaigns as soon as possible. (Note: some federal campaigns may have early submission deadlines, so check with them for details.) This Sunday is an ideal time to get this taken care of. So don't put it off any longer.

And did we mention there's free wine and cheese? You'd be crazy not to drop in!
