Gov. Rauner continues to force his anti-worker, anti-family agenda on Illinois. Join the protest march and rally with AFSCME and other local unions at the Woodstock Square gazebo on Wednesday, June 10!
Rauner has taken a hard-line approach to bargaining with the state employees unions: agree to his terms or he will shut down state government. State employees who live and work in McHenry County are fighting a tough battle. It's one they can't afford to lose. We need to show them — and the public — that we are on their side.
Assembly point: DHS Family Community Resource Center at 512 Clay Street, Woodstock
Assembly time: 11:45 a.m., Wednesday June 10
The group will walk from the Clay Street location to the gazebo at Woodstock Square, which is about three tenths of a mile. Speakers will address the gathering during the noon hour and then the group will walk back to 512 Clay Street. Bring a sign showing your support for state employees.
