If you've never taken the plunge to get involved in political action, we encourage you to get to know us by attending a meeting. We are a growing local party, but we need more people like you to step up and share your perspective. We are building teams of people to tackle projects like data entry and analytics, voter registration, special events, social media and content management, and candidate support and canvassing.

Women's March-Women Rising 2020

Women Rising 2020

McHENRY COUNTY WOMEN'S MARCH 2020 - #WomenRiseUp

The 2020 election may be the most important of our lifetime, and the stage is set for women to be a driving force. The nation will be commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, and the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which later expanded critical voting rights and protections for people of color.

Join us and be a part of history. In 2020 we need to rise together. In 2020 we need to march together. In 2020 we need to act and to vote together. RISE WITH US!

Sponsored by Women's March-McHenry County and McHenry County NOW, we will rally at the Woodstock Square Gazebo on January 18th at 12:30 pm.  A March will follow immediately.  Expected speakers include Representatives Sean Casten and Lauren Underwood, Illinois NOW President Laura Welch, AAUW Co-President Carol Heisler, and Immigrant Justice Center's Amanda Garcia.

Get your signs ready and #RISEUP
