Tanya Jindrich joins us as a candidate for County Board District 3. She is a Crystal Lake Central graduate and received her Associates' degree from McHenry County College. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences and an MBA in Finance. She and her husband Josh are raising their four children in Crystal Lake.
Tanya will bring to the County Board a 15 year plus background in finance, having worked her way to positions for the two largest financial institutions in American – JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America. Her career allowed her to work with business owners and managers throughout the country, from small local businesses to Fortune 500 organizations. The key to her success was building long-lasting relationships built on trust, respect, and teamwork, a skill she would bring to her County Board service.
Late last year Tanya made the leap to starting her own small business, giving her additional insight into the uniqueness of each business, and the strengths and challenges of small business ownership. She has sadly seen too many businesses open and shutter in Crystal Lake and McHenry County. She understands too the high property tax burden carried by our community, and the role expanding our commercial base could play in alleviating that burden. The environmental concerns of McHenry County are also at the forefront of her list issues needing to be addressed in any aspect of local development.
She appreciates the role the community plays in helping all of us be successful, and values her volunteer experience with North Elementary’s PTO, as volunteer coordinator for the Wehde Early Childhood Center, and as communications coordinator for District 47 Special Education Parent Teacher Organization. She also was a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.
Tanya wants to bring her experiences working with people and businesses to make McHenry County the premier place in Illinois to raise your family, own a business – whether a small local shop, a manufacturing plant, or a farm – and visit for recreation.
