Like all county parties, we get no financial assistance from the Illinois Democratic Party or the Democratic National Committee. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since it also means we are independent of all outside influence. We call the shots and stand or fall on our own efforts. That's pretty cool.
But it does mean that we have to raise money at the local level. We don't need millions of dollars to be successful, but we do need enough funding to support our voter contact program, candidate training and support, internal operations (like this website), meeting space rent, liability insurance and many other incidentals. We raise money in two ways: direct appeal (i.e. donations), and special events. We host fundraising events several times a year to inspire, educate and entertain. Those events are often the first exposure many of our members have to the local party. We try to keep the events affordable and fun. We hope you will find the time to attend one of these events.
We also hope you will make a direct contribution to the party, either on-line, or by check made out to The McHenry County Democratic Central Committee, P.O. Box 1126, Crystal Lake, IL 60039. Thank you so much for your support!

Democracy is in bloom!
Join us as we spring into action in this critical election year. This event raises the funds needed to grow our Party and get good people elected. Don't miss the biggest celebration of McHenry County Democrats of the year on June 6, 2020, at 6:30 pm in the Drendel Ballroom at Sun City, Huntley.
Socialize at a cocktail hour that includes a cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Then enjoy a 3-course dinner followed by dessert and coffee. Still just $90/person or $900 for a table of ten.
We always have a star-studded speaker's podium and will sell out fast. Tickets are on sale now!
Volunteers are needed to help with the event and/or donate items for the silent auction. Sign up here.
