Crystal Lake Food Pantry

Volunteer Days at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry

As part of the Democratic Party's continuing commitment to community service, we are establishing Democratic Party Volunteer Days at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.  Volunteer opportunities include: client greeter, food sorter/inspector, client exit door volunteer, general maintenance and cleaning. 

Please consider signing up for a 2 1/2 hour shift 9:30 am to 12:00 pm on the second Saturday of the month. 

To volunteer:

  • Click on the RSVP button to let us know you're going to volunteer
  • Then
  • Go to www.clfoodpantry.org
  • Scroll down and click on the Volunteer box
  • Locate the Volunteer Handbook and familiarize yourself with the operation of the Pantry
  • Click on SignUp.com to confirm your volunteer date
  • When you arrive at the Pantry, check in with the Team Leader

Settlers' Days Parade

Democratic Party of McHenry County in the Marengo Settlers' Days Parade!

Join us for the last parade of the season! Wear your favorite Democratic candidate or blue shirt.

The parade will kick-off at 2 pm.  Candidates are welcome, but please let us know if you plan to walk with us. The parade route starts at State St (Route 23)/Railroad, moves South to Washington St, turns onto East Washington and goes down Washington until Prospect St (End).

Adopt a Highway on Ackman in Crystal Lake, IL

October Road Cleanup

Join Democrats in Keeping America Beautiful!

Let's beautify our Party's stretch of Adopt-A-Highway. In recognition of our commitment to a healthier planet, we will be picking up debris along Ackman Road. Volunteer to do something good for our environment and our community. 

Details:

  • Please park along Westport Ridge just south of Ackman (this intersection has a flashing crosswalk)
  • Bring your own gloves - we’ll have some grabbers, safety vests and bags
  • Bring drinking water
