Marengo Settlers Days Parade

Last parade of the season, and it's an important one!  Please join us for the Settlers' Days Parade in the beautiful town of Marengo.

WHEN:  Sunday, October 11th, 2026 -- step-off at 2:00 pm
WHERE:  Calvin Spencer Park, 351 East Hale Street, Marengo

We'll have our number in the parade closer to the date.  Our assembly point is at Calvin Spencer Park, near the intersection of North Taylor Street and East Van Buren Street.

The parade ends near Marengo Community Middle School, 816 East Grant Highway, about a mile to the southeast.

After the parade, please join us at Joe's Place, 19716 East Grant Highway, for our end-of-parade-season afterparty.  Joe's is about a mile further to the southeast.

For your convenience, park either at the middle school or at Joe's, and our shuttle will run you over to the starting point.  Look for our black Democratic pickup truck.  The first shuttle run will depart from Joe's at 11:30am, and the last at 1:15pm sharp.  If parking at Joe's, please be sure to park in the gravel lot in the back, behind the drive-thru.  Our shuttle will also be available after the parade, to run you back over to Joe's.

The parade route last year was:

• south on Taylor Street to Railroad Street
• west on Railroad Street to Route 23 (State Street, the official step-off point)
• south on State Street, past the reviewing stand, to Washington Street
• east on Washington Street to Prospect Street, by the Marengo Community Middle School.

After the parade, we'll be celebrating at Joe's Place.  Please RSVP here, and hope you can join us.
