The Virtual Blue Wave Crew is needed now more than ever. 

We need your help this month with projects that will help Democrats get ready for the November election. If you have a few hours every week, or you are willing to help with managing the projects, contact Cathy at [email protected].

The projects for July will be set up at the July 8th Meeting: 

1) Postcards:  Like to color?  We will be decorating postcards which will later be used to get out the vote (GOTV) or explain how to get a mail-in voter application. We will provide postcards with a basic drawing for you to enjoy decorating. How could a voter not read a personally decorated postcard?

2) Yard signs:  Help Judy and Ray repaint and redesign old political yard signs. Who could resist a personally redesigned GOTV sign or vote by mail sign?

3) Phone Calls:   Democrats are happy to hear from fellow democrats checking on them. You will be provided with a list using a phone banking format. It's easy and very rewarding.

4) County Board Meeting Reports:  Blue Wave Crew is starting this new project after the election. We have lots of other projects right now. All County Board meetings are now virtual, and we need you to attend and report out. There will be a basic form provided. Reports will be shared on the McHenry Dems website and on Facebook. Decisions and discussions are happening that affect us and this will give us some insight into how that is happening. Sue Rosner will be organizing this activity.

5) Letters to the Editor:  People read these letters.  Let's get as many as we can in the papers to address the issues and to help our great candidates get into office. Contact Helen Torscher ([email protected]), TJ Clark for Congresswoman Underwood ([email protected]), and/or Kevin Trieu for Sean Casten ([email protected]) to help.

6) Human Race T-shirt Fundraiser celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Women's vote. Voting is Our Super Power. Pat Lawlor ([email protected]) needs help publicizing the t-shirt sales and she needs help with distribution. Email Pat or simply re-post the t-shirt ad when you see it.
