Grassroots Organizing in McHenry County - Canvassing Workshop

WHERE:  McHenry Public Library, 809 Front Street, McHenry

A free grassroots training workshop for members of the general public wishing to learn professional grassroots organizing techniques. Intended to enable individuals and groups to be proactive advocates for whichever issue they are inspired to advocate for, whether national or local, partisan or non. This training seminar seeks to make community members more effective advocates.” A range of canvassing related topics and techniques will be covered, from the “cold open”, to the “higher ask” and more.

The Workshop will be led by Austin May, who has led a successful Congressional campaign, and Terry Kappel, 2012 Dennis Anderson Field Director, as well as others with valuable experience and insights to share.
