DISTRICTS 8 & 9 DEMOCRATIC ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION - MARENGO
Crafted especially for Democratic Voters in Marengo, Seneca, Coral, Riley and Grafton Townships.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 -- 6:30 to 8:00 pm
WHERE: Joe's Place - Upstairs Room, 19716 East Grant Highway, Marengo
Note our new location! Please walk straight ahead to the order counter to order drink or food, then go back out to the lobby and take the stairs or elevator upstairs.
Bring a bag of non-chocolate candy for our summer parades. It is very helpful if the $$ collected from donors can be spent on candidate support rather than candy. But we still have to hand out candy at our 6-8 parades in 2026. Just bring it to the Roundtable. Thank you!
What word (positive or negative) defines your general feelings lately?
Become a Board Watcher for all the local boards so we become aware of the issues and who is making decisions. Because of the death of local journalism, this is a necessary position to keep our democracy.
Become a pollwatcher! We will tell you how to make a difference in your democracy with one day’s work on March 17. Worth it!
Local candidates might stop by to answer your questions. Early voting has started in Woodstock at the McHenry County Election Center, and will continue starting March 2nd at Marengo City Hall and other early voting locations around the county.
You should already have your VBM ballots. Sample ballots can be viewed at this link -- and no need to remember it, you can find it at mchenrydems.org/vote.
Bring a friend. For more information please reach out to Pat Lawlor, District 8 Chair, at [email protected] or Cathy Johnson, District 9 Chair, at [email protected].
