We are meeting on Wednesday, June 12th, at 7:00 p.m. at Jaster's, 414 W Virginia Avenue in Crystal Lake to eat, drink, socialize, and make new friends with like-minded people.
We'll gather in the front room by the bar, and will keep the conversation going until at least 9:00 p.m. Ask for the Drinking Liberally group at the door, or look for our Drinking Liberally table sign. Depending on the size of our group we may move to the back dining room where there's more space.
We are an informal, inclusive progressive social group. Raise your spirits with us while you raise your glass. Share ideas with friends new and old. Drinking Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to talk politics or any other topic that comes to mind. You don't need to be a policy expert and this isn't a book club — just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration and hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. Don't worry if you don't drink alcohol. Many of our members prefer soft drinks.
