Indivisible McHenry County's next general meeting and 1st Saturday speaker is on Saturday, March 7th, at 1:00 p.m. Anyone who values democracy, equal rights, and due process for all is welcome to attend our meetings.
Our featured speaker will be Samuel B. Cole, Senior Supervising Attorney and Chief Immigration Litigation Counsel from the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) of Illinois (aclu-il.org). He will give us an update on the ACLU's lawsuits against the Trump administration and what other actions they are doing to combat the administration's destructive policies. He will also provide an overview of our rights and will give us ideas on activism activities that we can engage in to support our immigrant communities.
