Drinking Liberally

We are meeting on Thursday, July 12th, at M Supper Club, 394 W. Virginia Avenue in Crystal Lake as we continue our monthly get-togethers at some of the best gathering places in McHenry County — to eat, drink, socialize, and make new friends with like-minded people.

We'll gather around 7:00 p.m. at the bar there, and will keep the conversation going until 9:00 p.m. Ask for the Drinking Liberally group at the door, or look for our Drinking Liberally table sign. If you are from the Crystal Lake area, this is your chance to participate in the group without a long drive. If not, this may provide a nice opportunity to check out a new place in the area  — and to make some new friends across town.

We are an informal, inclusive progressive social group. Raise your spirits with us while you raise your glass. Share ideas with friends new and old. Drinking Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to talk politics or any other topic that comes to mind. You don't need to be a policy expert and this isn't a book club — just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration and hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. Don't worry if you don't drink alcohol. Many of our members prefer soft drinks.
