Join local Dems on Saturday, February 25th when McHenry County Democratic Women will be celebrating trailblazing women past and present.

You won't want to miss their keynote speaker Jill Wine-Banks, MSNBC legal analyst, co-host of the #SistersInLaw and iGenPolitics podcasts, and author of The Watergate Girl, recounting her trailblazing life including her days as one of the prosecutors during the Watergate scandal. Also featured is the Honorable Nancy Rotering, the first woman to be elected as Highland Park’s mayor.  In 2013, after the Sandy Hook tragedy, Nancy led the effort to ban military-style assault weapons and large-capacity magazines in Highland Park, a fact all the more poignant given the tragedy that occurred during the 2022 Highland Park Independence Parade.

Besides great speakers, there will be small plates, raffle baskets, photo-ops, and a signature drink at the cash bar - the Myra Bradwell - the first woman to pass the Illinois bar exam.
