What are the top issues in District 6?

Residents of District 6 generally support maintaining the agricultural way of life in the rural areas of the district. Water conservation, protecting the aquifer recharge areas, and preservation of open space are top concerns in the district. The county's comprehensive land use planning document, the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) is the main guidance for future land use and development. 

Farms in the County take up 60% of the land use.  Agriculture brings in almost $200,000,000 each year.  This is he largest industry in the county.  McHenry County Farm Bureau works to protect their interests.
