Our October meeting will no doubt focus on the bizarre SuperSpreader® event at the White House. Let's take a COVID-free breather, get together and enjoy a few hours of progressive talk. Just use the Zoom meeting link below to join the virtual party. We'll be meeting in person again once it's safe to do so.
Time: October 14, 2020 7:00 p.m. Central
When it's time to Drink Liberally:

On this day in history
October 14, 1947: U.S. Air Force Captain Chuck Yeager became the first person to fly faster than the speed of sound. His X-1 rocket plane, nicknamed “Glamorous Glennis” (after Yeager's wife), was designed with thin, unswept wings and a streamlined fuselage modeled after a .50-caliber bullet.
October 14, 1964: African American civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his nonviolent resistance to racial prejudice in America. At 35 years of age, the Georgia-born minister was the youngest person ever to receive the award.
Drinking Liberally is an informal, inclusive progressive social group. Raise your spirits with us while you raise your glass. Share ideas with friends new and old. Drinking Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to talk politics or any other topic that comes to mind. You don't need to be a policy expert and this isn't a book club — just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration and hang out in an environment where it's not taboo to talk politics. Don't worry if you don't drink alcohol. Many of our members prefer soft drinks.
Drinking Liberally is a nationally chartered non-profit. It is not affiliated with the Democratic Party. Learn more about Drinking Liberally and Living Liberally at www.livingliberally.org/drinking
