Districts 8 & 9 - Fourth Annual Hot Dog Picnic
Come together with your neighbors in county board districts 8 & 9 for an evening of community, camaraderie, and classic Chicago-style hot dogs. Let's celebrate the friendships we've built and the progress we've made as we gather to enjoy a beautiful sunset together.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 — 5:30 pm until sunset
WHERE: Shelter #2 at the Marengo Ridge Conservation Area, 2411 IL-23, Marengo, IL 60152. It's on the east side of Route 23, between River Road on the south and Collins Road on the north.
What's in store?
- Inspiring Words - hear from our special guest, Willie Perez, newly-elected trustee for school district #58;
- Sing-Along Fun - Join Jeff Varda for a spirited Woody Guthrie sing-along;
- Good Food and Good Company: Enjoy Chicago-style hot dogs with all the fixin's. Vegetarian options available too of course. And cool water to sip.
As proud, passionate Democrats, we've rallied together before and we'll do it again! Let's harness that "Hot Dog Energy" and keep our voices strong.
