Join fellow Democrats and candidates as we kick off the parade season with Harvard Milk Days. It's an election year, and marching with the Democrats is great fun and really important besides. And, we've got a really beautiful new Democratic float -- you really want to see it !
The assembly point is in the parking lot of Harvard High School, at 1103 North Jefferson Street. We are number 21 in the parade.
It's all happening on Saturday, June 1st, 2024. The parade steps off promptly at 1:00pm. It will be crowded, so please plan to arrive by 12ish to find parking and find us, and if you'd like to help decorate the float, please plan to arrive by 11.
You'll be marching with the full slate of our Democratic candidates and officeholders, and it's really important that we have a nice crowd, so please RSVP and plan to come on out.
Also, there's a tradition at McHenry County parades of passing out candy to the kids lining the route. So we're most gratefully accepting donations of candy (individually wrapped as for Halloween, or cash to purchase same -- party favors like stickers, buttons, bubbles are also great.)
